One of the main traffic arteries of Ahmedabad, ‘SG Road’ or ‘Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway’ is located in the North-Western Ahmedabad. It has witnessed unprecedented growth of real estate development over the years. This highway is the growth symbol of this city, which has attracted a number of realty projects. The tallest commercial hub Shapath V (70m height) is located on S.G. Road. This highway forms the major part of NH-8C, which connects Sarkhej with Chiloda near Gandhinagar. Important places in its proximity are ChanakyaPuri, Chandiodia, Chandkheda, Ram Nagar, Thaltej, PRL Colony, and so on.

SG Road or Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway is the 24 hours transportation route, where auto rickshaws, shared autos, and buses are the most popular forms of public transport. Apart from it, Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) is running local bus service on this route for reaching anywhere in the city.

Major roads that are linked to SG Road making it accessible to all close areas include Sardar Patel Ring Road, Gota Road, Science City Road, DhongreMaharaj Road, Ashram Road, Airport Road, etc. In addition to road transportation, Ahmedabad Railway Station is accessible from SG Highway with 13.2 Km distance. And, Ahmedabad Airport is only 14.7 Km from here.
